Stoic and efficient, Aryon gets shit done with the speed and precision of a machine - as long as she judges the attached caveats worth her time. For this reason, she's been sat around in a little backwater town instead of seeking glory - what more does an adventurer need past the expendable income? She and her sister Bia make bank selling monster parts and own a small house in said backwater and live a comfortable, albeit routine life.

Ari is, by the standards of her rank, an absolute prodigy in monster hunting - you'd be hard pressed to find someone tier seven that could stand toe to toe with her and her glass cannon power set. However, when a shadow demon of mass destruction shows up hangry in her forest, she's only able to escape by way of ancient family heirloom and her bloodline's reality-bending abilities.

You barely reading-comprehended that last sentence, but the mysteries only deepen when she's saddled with the duty of defeating the interdimensional space rats currently invading her country. Her ill-fated mentor character quickly lore drops a bunch of weird shit like being descended from a deity and copious other confusions (what the heck does he mean 'Main Character'???). Even if she pulls off stopping the rat cultists, fate's still got plenty left to do before she can rest well.

Bia is any party's comedic backbone; she will never stop laughing. Get past her big frontal personality however, and she's quite approachable. Never suspicious of anyone or anything, Bia has a high EQ and a detrimental lack of distrust and worry. However, she has been more agitated than usual as of late - it's about time she and her sister sought harder challenges in order to ascend to t-eight, but Ari won't budge out of her comfortable cot in Javenshard. So when Ari comes home ravaged by a hungry overranked demon, Bia convinces her to head to the nearest high-ranked city to request help. Ari quickly finds the trip spiralling out of control when Bia invites not only fellow adventurer Lloyd, but also their noncombatant friends.

Desperate to do something different for once, Bia takes to the journey with enthusiasm, but quickly finds it more than she bargained for as the demon in question turns out to be just as enthusiastic in its pursuit of Ari. Burdened by the guilt of leading her friends into a dangerous and very much preventable situation, she's determined to turn it around and make something positive out of it.

Halos is the Narrators' bad cop. They're abrasive, spiteful, hilarious, and all that sums up to be a bit of an asshole. Also violent! Do something they don't like and you'll quickly find yourself torn up and fried with the power of the narrative stack. Unlike their counterpart Castell, they fight (and eat) with their claws, and aren't averse to having some fun with their victims. Halos gets stuff bluntly done for the Narrative, while the level-headed Castell decides what need to be done.

The Narrators' abilities are seemingly limitless, but they rarely employ their power so as to let the cosmos take its natural course of action. There is, of course, the fact that they seem to control where that course flows - but any non-nihilist would rather ignore that.

Castell is the friendly face of the 'narrator duo,' at least to those close enough to Transcendence to know it. They are amiable, friendly, and soft-spoken, especially when put next to their counterpart Halos. Though often spotted with their glaive, it appears more of a ceremonial setpiece than anything used for battle - Castell is far more likely to offer you a cup of tea and an organized execution instead.

The Narrators' abilities are seemingly limitless, but they rarely employ their power so as to let the cosmos take its natural course of action. There is, of course, the fact that they seem to control where that course flows - but anyone not a nihilist would rather ignore that.

The Haelborne are among many fringe interdimensional factions in the cosmos, but one of the most active. They spend their time raiding underdeveloped worlds for 'fabric of reality', using its power to construct a machine to kill gods. Haelborne society is characterized by a single-minded worship of this destruction.

A large crab creature, usually four or five feet tall. Its legs make up most of that height, as they are nearly vertical when standing. They shuffle like all crabs, but are able to do so at extreme speed, rivalling that of a traditional motorized vehicle. Because of this, fae use them as mounts, but they are rarely seen due to how hard to tame they are.

This doesn't make any sense, what could it be? Probably nothing, don't worry.

Five (six?) immortals

04/30/2025

These six five beings govern the fundamental laws of the cosmos as they see fit. The Mist Lord regulates all with negative affinity. The Eternal Flame regulates all with positive affinity. The Saviour builds life. The Reaper takes it. The Primordial Equilibrium controls all. Your cosmos is safe in these capable hands!

Spooky black and glowy red spaceshib

A standard ship used by the Haelborne when conducting reality-mining operations. Powerful aura propulsion and weaponry systems. Has advanced metanavigational capabilities and is equipped with firmament crystal processing units.

Guy with pink hair and bad fashion sense with spooky wings

THIS IS A DEPRECATED DESIGN

A century past, the political entity idi0cy.inc made interdimensional headlines with their impenetrability supposedly granted by the Narrator. Such rumours were quickly dismissed as hopeless conjecture until recently. Now, various logical fallacies began to make themselves immediately apparent. Dubbed 'plot holes' by idi0cy.inc, the moniker and it's source reinspired a fear of the Narrator - a being that had the power to remake the entire cosmos at the stroke of a pen.
